GITIS has opened classical dance workshop in Senegal.
Our choreography faculty professor Maksim Valukin is leading master classes. He is joined by the faculty graduates and students of the MA choreography course who will later perform in Dakar.
Slou Akimguereeva, director of the Russian Ballet Academy of Senegal, GITIS Choreography faculty graduate:
“Russian school speaks for itself. Senegal needs to learn a structural approach in classical choreography from GITIS. I thought my dream of having GITIS in Africa would never come true. And now it’s happening. I thank everyone”.
Three young participants of this workshop have been recommended to continue their studies at GITIS and will proceed through admissions.
