GITIS announces online auditions for foreign applicants who are unable to attend offline auditions in the following specialties: “Acting”, “Theater directing” and “Choreographic art”.
From July 24 to August 15, you need to send a video with a short story about yourself and also your program (no more than 10 minutes) to the email address international@gitis.net. You have to specify in the letter: your full name, country, faculty, specialty and planned form of study (budget, extra-budget or quota).
The program should include:
Drama actors read: 1 poem, 1 fable, a piece of prose;
Various theater actors and directors: 1 poem, 1 fable, a piece of prose, 1 song (with soundtrack), practical directing — in person;
Musical theater actors: 1 aria from an opera, musical or operetta; folk song, romance, poem and fable;
Drama directors: oral defense of the concept of a dramatic work, accompanied by showing an illustration (drawings, layout, etc.);
Musical theater directors: oral defense of the concept of a musical work (opera, operetta, musical), accompanied by illustrations (drawings, maquettes, etc.);
Choreographers: dance (classical, modern), their own dance piece;
Ballet teachers: dance (classical, modern), their own composition (exercises at the barre or in the center of the hall).
