GITIS hosted another group from East 15 Acting School (UK). British students came for a short-term course to master acting and directing skills and to learn more about techniques taught by Stanislavsky, Meyerhold and Mikhail Chekhov. The program also included classes on stage movement and biomechanics.
This year the Winter School lasted from February 24th to March 16th. The decision was made to wrap up the course earlier because of the alarming news of the coronavirus COVID-19 spreading. But even the last day of work was very intensive as East 15 students presented first results of their work at GITIS: director’s version of the excerpts of Anton Chekhov’s novels.
We’re glad that all students could fly home safely!
