An in-person meeting of the Working Group on Culture of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Cultural Cooperation was held in New Delhi, marking the first such gathering in three years. Edita Tibilova, Vice-Rector of GITIS, actively participated in the meeting.
During the negotiations, the parties engaged in discussions regarding the key areas of cultural interaction between Russia and India. These encompassed projects in the realm of libraries, fostering connections in the field of creative education, promoting museum cooperation, and advancing cinematography.
Both sides expressed their support for the extension of the agreement on cooperation in creative education, initially signed in 2017 by the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS and the National School of Drama of India. The collaboration involves various activities, such as student exchanges, tours, faculty internships, and the participation of students and experts in international festivals and scientific conferences.
