The “Russian Seasons” began in Uzbekistan in May 2023 and is being realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As part of the “Russian Seasons,” GITIS instructors will conduct masterclasses in acting, directing, stage speech, stage movement, and vocal training. The participants of these masterclasses will be students from the Workshop of Georgy Isaakyan at the Faculty of Musical Theater of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS and the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan.
“The current visit of GITIS masters to Tashkent is the first after a very long break. We have long-standing and friendly ties with the theatre university, and we regularly and gladly host colleagues from Uzbekistan in Moscow. However, this time, we are visiting for the first time. We have no doubt that we will enjoy our time in Tashkent. I truly hope that the training, lessons, and advice from GITIS instructors will be beneficial to all the participants of our school, for the organization of which I will never tire of thanking ’Russian Seasons’,” says Grigory Zaslavsky, the rector of GITIS.
