Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS Grigory Zaslavsky said that students of the university have released the first edition of the “Theatre magazine”. In 2023 five editions of the publication are planned, as reported by TASS.
According to the rector of GITIS, the theatrical life is interesting to those people who are interested in telling about it. The magazine will publish not only critical articles on premieres, but also publications on the history and theory of theatre, as well as problematic articles, actor’s and director’s portraits.
As reported, the magazine will have a video version and be released as a podcast.
The edition includes reviews of plays by Ostrovsky, reflections by Oleg Basilashvili and Aleksei Bartoshevich on the two-volume “Letters to the Arts Theatre”, and opinions on theatre criticism by Rimma Krechetova, Boris Lyubimov, and Grigory Zaslavsky. It is published with the support of the humanitarian project of Ivan Polyakov, a member of the Board of Trustees of GITIS.
The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS is a partner of the TV BRICS International Media Network. The parties implement joint information projects which contribute to strengthening the position of BRICS+ countries in the field of culture and art in the international space.
