Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance Clarie Middleton visited GITIS and met with its Principal Grigory Zaslavsky. At the meeting they discussed international students exchanges and a joint Master’s degree programme.
“We are interested in exchange programs for students and teachers because we understand your background and cultural heritage. At Rose Bruford we are strong in joint programmes, when courses are taught in Great Britain and abroad as well. With GITIS Acting art faculty it might be a one year exchange for our students and vice versa”, Clarie Middleton said to Mr.Zaslavsky.
GITIS rector also spoke about school’s existing international practices. “We host foreign students for a 2 weeks course at Directing department when they work together with our young artists on a play by Shakespeare or Chekhov. Then our students pay a return visit for example to London and continue rehearsing. As a result, after a month a show is born and it’s performed in two languages. It’s very interesting”, — Institute Principal said.
While in GITIS Ms. Middleton was invited to student dance class and rehearsals at Acting art and Directing faculties.
