More than 50 young actors, directors, theater managers, and critics from the CIS countries and Mongolia have become participants of the “Russian Theater School.”
The “Russian Theater School” is being held as part of the International Theater Festival-Laboratory “TeART-Kokshe” in Kazakhstan. Among the organizers of the school are Rossotrudnichestvo, the Akmolinsky Regional Russian Drama Theater, the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), and the Russian House in Astana.
During the grand opening, Beibit Bakhtygereev, the director of the Akmolinsky Regional Russian Drama Theater, stated, “We are proud that the ’Russian Theater School’ has become an integral part of the ’TeART-Kokshe’ festival, which has been held for five years with the support of the Russian House in Astana.”
In his welcoming speech, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Evgeny Primakov, said, “Russian theatrical art has much to share with the world. The current School is a generous and invaluable gift to young people who have devoted their lives to the theater.”
