Elena graduated from the GITIS Theatre studies faculty in 1994 (N.A.Krymova class) and later was an intern at York Advertising (Poland) as a sales manager.

Developing her professional interest in the administrative and creative areas, Elena worked as an administrator and then as a deputy general manager of Mayakovsky Theatre in Moscow. She was the head of the sales department of the Theatre of Nations in Moscow between 2003-2008.

During 2008-2016 she held senior positions in marketing and sales of Moscow major event agencies including the famous Olympic Stadium arena. In 2016-2021 she worked as deputy artistic director of the Pushkin Drama theatre in Moscow.

With 30 years of experience in the industry Mrs.Simurzina is a senior lecturer at the GITIS Stage arts producing and management department and also teaches at the Moscow Art Theatre school.
