Vladimir Pankov graduated from GITIS Directing Department in 1999 (class of O.Kudryashov). After his education at GITIS he persued acting career and took a job of an actor at the Moscow State Variety Theatre. From 2000 to 2006 he was an actor in the Drama & Directing Centre.
In 2003 Pankov founded the independent studio SounDrama, which brought musicians, choreographers, actors, sound directors and composers together to experiment in music and theatre.
The studio produces performances in this special SounDrama style, takes part in international festivals, composes music for films and actively performs in various locations.
Vladimir Pankov has received various theatre awards from the Moskovsky Komsomolets, Debut, Seagull, Golden Mask and many others.
Since 2016, he has been Artistic Director and Director of the Drama and Direction Centre.
He has staged more than 30 productions, including Red Thread, Doc.tor, Morphine, Car, Duck Hunting, Zoikina’s Apartment, Old House, Factory Girl, Mom, Bear.
Vladimir Pankov had taught for some years at the course of Valery Garkalin (in GITIS) and in 2016 he launched his own class at GITIS Faculty of Popular Music.
