Theatre festival of the CIS countries
Over the past 17 years GITIS has organized 276 international events welcoming theatres and students from Greece, Israel, China, Spain, Serbia, Estonia, the United Kingdom and former Soviet republics.
December 1–3
We invite undergraduate students studying the history of art, theatre studies, philology, stage directing, choreography and stage design to participate in the conference.
The theme of the current conference is “In discussions about the theater: meeting the past and present”.
We have deliberately selected the broad theme of the conference so that the participants could choose their own angle of the report based on their scientific and art interests.
Young scientists can focus either on the theatre history, or the processes in modern European or Russian theater.
It is important for us that the participants focus in their works on the conflict theatre ideas, style clashes and directions of theatre art during various historical periods.
We plan to publish impactful essays in the GITIS scientific journal.
Applications are accepted until 20 November 2020 by E-mail: perspectiva@gitis.net

If necessary, GITIS will cover the costs of accommodation (in a hostel) for the period of the conference. All other expenses should be provided by the sending party.
