GITIS auditions in Kazakhstan

GITIS launches auditions in the Republic of Kazakhstan the upcoming spring as our school deepens ties with the country.

14 performances will be shown at the III International Student Festival of graduation performances “GITIS fest”

The festival will showcase 14 performances from various theater schools and theaters in cities such as Belgorod, Belgrade (Serbia), Vladivostok, Zarechny, Kazan, Moscow, New Delhi (India), St. Petersburg, Shanghai (China), and Yaroslavl. The festival aims to serve as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between major Russian and international theater schools.

“Your Chance | GITIS-fest” Festival Opens at GITIS

The international festival of final year shows “Your Chance | GITIS-fest” opens today, bringing together theatre schools from Russia, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

From April 14 to 30, the Theatre Center “Na Strastnom” will host 17 productions from Russian theatre universities. From April 21 to 30, GITIS Theatre will present 10 performances, six of which will be by international theatre schools. Participants include institutions from Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, India, Brazil.

“Your Chance | GITIS-fest is a festival of student productions and student achievements. From the very beginning, we envisioned the festival as a platform for growth, development, and expanding international cooperation with our partner countries. Student theatre allows us to imagine not only the theatre of tomorrow, but the theatre of the next 10, 20, or even 50 years — because today’s students will be the ones shaping theatre throughout this century,”
— said GITIS Rector Grigory Zaslavsky.
