GITIS has opened The School of Russian Theatre in Beijing. Classes are hosted by the Association of Literature and Arts in Beijing.
For the next five days our teachers will lead master-classes for actors, directors and other theatre professionals — overall 70 participants from different regions of the country.
“We care about our good relationships with theatre schools of China and love our talented and hardworking students from China. We hope that this visit will strengthen the established creative ties”, says GITIS Rector Grigory Zaslavsky in his welcoming message.
First day of the School was dedicated to the stage movement training. Next in the program are classes on sound drama, acting, sound design and history of music in Russian theatre, tradition of classical ballet.
The School of Russian Theatre is organised by Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Institute of theatre arts (GITIS), Beijing Association of Literature and Arts, and Russian Culture Centre in Beijing.
