GITIS is hosting young actors from Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Iran, and South Africa for professional training. The internship is part of the InteRussia program for foreign specialists. It will last until September 22nd.
It is the first program for young artists within InterRussia project. It was developed by GITIS in collaboration with the A. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the TV BRICS International network and supported by the President’s grants Fund.
The training includes workshops on acting, stage movement and speech, lectures about the history of the Russian theatre, life and work of Konstantin Stanislavsky and his acting Method, and about Maria Knebel’s method of Active analysis. During their stay in Moscow our guests will have the opportunity to work with experienced GITIS teachers, share and exchange experiences with colleagues from different countries and improve their acting skills.

“This is a completely new experience for us. There was a fairly serious selection process, about 10 people per place. There were more than 80 applications. We selected 12 people,” Mr. Zaslavsky emphasized. GITIS university had previously collaborated with various countries members of the BRICS bloc, but for the first time it brought actors from these countries into one project.
