The 24th meeting of the Subcommittee on culture which is part of the Russian-Chinese Commission on humanitarian cooperation was held in Beijing. It was chaired by the heads of the two delegations: the deputy minister of culture of Russia Nadejda Prepodobnaya (at the moment) and the deputy minister of culture and tourism of China Zhang Zheng.
The development of joint projects and the promotion of humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the
GITIS is actively developing cooperation with leading theatre schools around the world among which Chinese partners have a special place.
“Cooperation with leading theatre universities is one of the most important and even the main policy of development for the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS. We are proud that after the end of the World War II, it was GITIS professors who came to Beijing and were at the forefront of the formation of the Central Academy of Drama, today one of the most prestigious theatre schools in China,” noted Mr. Zaslavsky.
